Pure copper Pall ring packing is a kind of open-hole ring packing with equal height and diameter. There are 5 tongues in each window hole, and each tongue is inwardly bent toward the ring center. The positions of the upper and lower window holes are opposite and staggered. The opening area accounts for about 30% of the total area of the ring wall. It has the characteristics of large porosity, low pressure drop and mass transfer unit height, high flooding point, sufficient vapor-liquid contact, low specific gravity and high mass transfer efficiency. This structure improves the vapor-liquid distribution and makes full use of the inner surface of the ring, so that the gas and liquid in the packed tower can freely pass through the window. Pall ring packing has the advantages of large flux, low resistance, high separation efficiency and large operating flexibility. Under the same pressure reduction, the processing capacity can be more than 50% larger than that of the Raschig ring. It is made by punching and punching thin metal plates. Two rows of window holes with inner protruding tongues are opened on the ring wall. Each row of windows has five tongues bent into the ring, pointing to the center of the ring, and almost the same at the center. The positions of the upper and lower windows are staggered. Generally, the total area of the openings is about 35% of the entire ring area. Since many windows are opened on the ring wall, the gas and liquid distribution and mass transfer performance in the packing layer are greatly improved compared with the Raschig ring. At the same throughput, the pressure drop can be reduced by half, and the mass transfer efficiency can be increased by about 20%. Compared with the Raschig ring, this packing has the characteristics of large production capacity, low resistance, and greater operating flexibility. Under normal circumstances, the pressure drop can be 50%-100% larger than the Raschig ring, and the pressure drop is greater than that of the Raschig ring. The west ring is 50%-70% smaller, and the tower height is also reduced in pressure. The Pall ring can be about 20%-40% of the packing volume than the Raxi ring.
